B.S or M.S in Electrical Engineering with focus on power electronics OR Diploma or associates degree (with reputable electrical technician course like NCCER Level 4)
5+ years of industry experience with hands on experience in power electronics with voltage levels of upwards of 2000V
3 to 8 years of relevant experience with medium voltage & power electronics
Understanding and experience with DC and AC theory as applies to inverters, rectifiers, transformers and power supplies
Responsible for ESS test plan execution
Follow, advocate safe build/set-up/test procedures & collaborate to identify and mitigate gaps
Software flashing on ECU, Develop and maintain Single line diagram of test setups, Responsible for test & equipment set-up, Review test plans and write test instructions, Execute test instructions and monitor testing, Responsible for data collection, data quality checks & data formatting, Evaluate test results against success criteria and report out to senior engineers/technical leaders, Responsible for meeting lab test plan on time, Support long-term vision, Improve operational efficiency via test automation, Develop scripts to automate data analysis, Develop & Integrate battery testing processes, Data archiving, inventory management, develop standard test procedures, BIQ etc.
Experience with communication protocols and tools like J1939, CAN, TCP/IP Modbus, CANape, CANcase, Kvaiser, MATLAB
Setup of current and voltage sensing
Understanding and experience with DC and AC theory as applies to inverters, rectifiers, transformers, grid simulators and power supplies
Strong work ethic, clear communication and eye to safety is required
Clear understanding of electrical safety NFPA70 (NEC)
